I couldn’t live through my business day without a feature we call Voice2Text. I think you’d agree that checking voicemail on your mobile, home and work phones can be time-consuming and aggravating. I’ve heard myself say at times “voicemail sucks!” Sometimes you’re stuck in a meeting or just don’t have time to dial in to hear all of the messages. With voice mail to text transcription, all of your voicemail gets converted and sent as text, so you get the message at a glance. It’s the ultimate in visual voice mail. You’ll never have to listen to 5 voicemails to get to the one you really wanted to hear.
Using voice to text technology you can:
- Read your voicemail on your cell phone
- Read it as text and Listen to it as MP3/WAV audio in your email
- Add your Cell phone, Home phone, Office/PBX phone or SimpleSignal VoIP phone to your account, and read all of your voicemail in email or on your phone instantly.
This feature has saved some of our customers hours every day. A loan officer customer of ours was painfully listening to his voice mail from his cell phone, writing down the call back number and then repeating this process on his desk phone. He estimated he did this 3 or 4 times a day and spent 10 minutes each time. You can do the math. How many hours per week did voice2text save him?
Another exciting development is voice to SMS or also known as voice to text. Just speak your message into your phone and it translates your speech into text. Speech-to-SMS technology lets you send texts to your friends without typing, post updates to Facebook and Twitter, and so on. Unlike speech-to-text services which employ humans to translate voice messages into text, our system is entirely automated.
Simplesignal’s Voice to text feature is the ultimate in Voice mail Unification – Get all of your voicemail in one place. How does this work?

I think one of the largest benefits of Voice2Text is the ability to have it filed and recalled. Every contact does not get added to my contacts file, but I can recall a conversation and/or message and if it has been converted to text, it is now filed in an email folder or networked folder for future recall. It also makes it more memorable for me when I can read a message. It also is easy to cut and paste into CRM software for easy recall. The copying of voice messages by hand is a thing of the past.
What is the best thing about voice to text for me? Archiving the voice mails on my laptop. I get so many important voice mails that it is essential to me to have a record of conversations that I can refer back to. By getting my voice mail emailed to me, whether on the go or at my desk I can easily listen to and then archive a voice mail message for later use.
Indeed a great tool….You dont have to dial in to ur Voicemail/phone system..and go through the sometimes cumbersome menu…just read or listen from your cell phone…that what I call Lightening Fast!! and is critical for today’s small businesses…getting back to customers quick!
